The upcoming Disney+ series Star Wars: Ahsoka, focused on Ahsoka Tano, has reportedly begun production. Even though the series is ahead of schedule, Rosario Dawson will also reportedly begin filming this winter.

Writer and producer Marc Bernardin spoke about the production of the series. This happened as he co-hosted a recent episode of Fatman Beyond Podcast. He spoke about trying to hire Dawson for a short film he’s doing in December. The actor reportedly declined Barnardin’s project due to a Star Wars show she’s involved in. It is scheduled to film at the same time, according to Dawson. He then goes on to describe the situation, saying,

One More Theory Besides Star Wars: Ahsoka

Though Dawson didn’t specifically name the Star Wars show, Bernardin heavily implied that Star Wars: Ahsoka was what was being filmed in the winter. However, there is another possible show that she could be a part of. Manhattan Beach, California, is the location of the Volume set where The Mandalorian is being produced. While this is a possibility, Dawson could instead be filming an appearance on that series’s upcoming third season. Overlap between the two shows is definitely possible, considering that production on Ahsoka wasn’t expected to begin until early 2022.

Announced late last year, Star Wars: Ahsoka is one of several live-action Star Wars shows currently in the works. Other Star Wars titles such as Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Acolyte, Lando, and Star Wars: A Droid Story are still in various phases of production. Despite this, The Mandalorian Season 3 and The Bad Batch season 2 are expected to arrive sometime next year. The Book of Boba Fett is also set to release on December 29th, 2021.
