Electronic Arts has shared a new trailer of the story content included in the upcoming Season 1, themed after the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi film. The video shows footage from the upcoming content for the game such as Finn and Captain Phasma as controllable characters, the new maps of Crait and D’qar, and the upcoming story DLC Resurrection, meaning that those who still haven’t finished the campaign might want to skip the end to avoid spoilers. Other new content include in this season for free are a new Starfighter Assualt map, and some new vehicles.
While there will be special weekly challenges taking place for the entire month, the main content will be released on December 13, which is the day the game will add Finn and Captain Phasma, as well as the new maps. It is also the day the first story expansion will be released, which shows Iden Versio during the early days of the First Order. The season will finish on December 27.
The first weeks of Star Wars Battlefront 2 have been marked by various controversies regarding microtransactions and the grind for multiplayer credits, but hopefully fans will get more satisfied with the upcoming new content coming this month.
