If you’re like me, you’ve been having a blast with the Star Wars Battlefront Beta. You can hear all about my experience and impressions of the game here, or try it for yourself on PS4 and PC. Of course, all betas end, with this one originally scheduled to end today. However, EA and DICE have announced that fans will have an extra day to destroy those Rebel scum, extending the beta to October 13th.

“Hope you’re enjoying the Star Wars Battlefront beta and thank you for playing,” reads the announcement. “Every time you log on, it’s helping us ensure the experience is going to be great at launch. As we get into the late stages of the beta, we will begin conducting further technical tests on our infrastructure.

“These additional tests will start on Monday, October 12 and will run thru Tuesday, October 13th, which will add an additional day to the open Beta. These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity. This is all being done in the name of shoring up our infrastructure before we launch on November 17th.”

Of course, having an extra day to play the game for free is pretty great, but it’s also good to see DICE taking the beta very seriously. Having all the testing done will help make sure launch day runs smoothly, which has been an issue for previous games from this developer, and EA.
