Heroes and Villains are some of the most powerful units available in Star Wars Battlefront. Unlike previous entries in the series though, players don’t just spawn as a hero or villain. Instead they have to randomly become one by locating the right power-up on the map. For those that are unfamiliar with this new method of the game, here’s how to become a Jedi, hero or villain in Star Wars Battlefront.
Becoming a Jedi, or hero, or villain as the map and mode allow, comes down to a mixture of luck and knowing where to go and what to do. The key is to locate the proper power-up, which looks like a lightsaber within a circle. You can see it in the screenshot below to get a better idea of what it looks like on the battlefield. Simply wander around the map, looking in the spots where power-ups spawn to try to find this symbol floating in the air.
Once you spot it you’ll want to rush toward it, as any other players who see it will try to grab it quickly as well. Pick up the power-up by simply walking into it and then press R1 and L1 on PS4, or RB and LB on Xbox One, to activate it. Your character will kneel down and you’ll respawn as whatever hero or villain your team and the map calls for.
That’s pretty much it as far as how to become a jedi, hero or villain in Star Wars Battlefront. It’s one of those things that is seemingly simple, but will take a long time to actually pull off a lot. It’s all about knowing where the power-up might spawn, which will take some time with the game to get a feel for. At least now you’ll know what to look for and what to do once you find it though.
