Some bad news for Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens fans. The DLC for Star Wars Battlefront might not include content from movies outside of the original trilogy.

A fan asked the official Star Wars Battlefront Twitter page if any Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens DLC will be added to the game. It sounds like there won’t be any content from the new movie sadly.

They replied with: “Our team is focusing on the original trilogy for this release of Star Wars Battlefront.” This tweet sounds like only the original trilogy of movies will be included as DLC for the game too.

This is bad news for fans of the prequels and the Clone Wars as well. EA and DICE announced a $50 Season Pass and many people hoped that content from other movies will be added. This tweet means the content will just be original trilogy focused.

It’s possible EA and DICE didn’t have time to develop anything from Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens. The only thing they added was the “Battle of Jakku” DLC, but that was set several years before the film.

Hopefully a future video game from EA focuses on Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens. The only video game we can play now based on the new movie is a play set from Disney Infinity 3.0.
