EA and DICE have now released a new update patch 1.06 for Star Wars Battlefront which is rolling out for all platforms later today.

The update patch itself is over 8GB and includes a ton of new features as well as various other improvements. The best part about the patch is that it includes new content that is free for all players.

As you may know already, the Outer Rim DLC pack is now available for Season Pass owners today. This includes new maps as well as Greedo and Nien Nunb as playable characters.

It’s worth mentioning that the new update is 8GB for all players no matter if you have the Season Pass or not. Downloading the patch is mandatory if you want to keep playing the game’s online modes.

If you have the Season Pass, you can access the Outer Rim exclusive content via an unlock file from the PSN, Xbox Live and Origin stores.
