The highly anticipated video game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order just hit the shelves. It follows the story of Cal Kestis, a padawan who survived Order 66 and is now finding his own path to becoming a Jedi. Cal must survive being hunted down by the Empire and the Inquisitor known as the Second Sister. Players will get to travel to new and iconic worlds and accomplish their quest to become a Jedi alongside characters such as mentor Cere Junda and Rebel extremist Saw Gerrera.

The game’s plot does seem to pull a bit from the celebrated Star Wars: Rebels series. Character Kanan Jarrus was also a padawan during Order 66 and must achieve Jedi Knighthood alone while being relentlessly chased by the Inquisitors. And the character of Saw Gerrera originated in this series, as well.  Still, this game from Respawn Entertainment appears to have been crafted with a great deal of heart and passion. Writer Megan Fausti and developer Stig Asmussen wanted a character-driven tale. Fausti recently stated in an interview with StarWars.com:

Narrative lead for Respawn Entertainment, Aaron Contreras, said:

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order became available to purchase November 15th, 2019 and is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
