Obi-Wan Kenobi, one of the many Star Wars shows coming to Disney Plus, has revealed its main cast. The show will begin filming this Spring.

Star Wars fans already knew that Ewan McGregor would be reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen will star alongside him as Anakin Skywalker.

While their roles are unlisted as of this writing, Obi-Wan Kenobi will also star Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse played Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru in the prequel trilogy, so we can assume they’re reprising these roles.

Obi-Wan Kenobi  will be executive produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor, and writer Joby Harold. Deborah Chow is directing, and she’s no stranger to the Star Wars universe, having directed two episodes of The Mandalorian.

The plot for Obi-Wan Kenobi has not been detailed yet, but it does take place 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. With Christensen reprising his role as Anakin, we can assume the show will detail his further fall into the Sith and eventually becoming Darth Vader.

Shooting for Obi-Wan Kenobi is set to begin in April 2021, and there is no release window announced as of yet. However, in the mean time, The Book of Boba Fett will begin streaming this December along with the third season of The Mandalorian.
