Star Wars The Force Awakens will be arriving this December and the true promotional rush hasn’t even started yet. Many thought that the movie may have a big showing at San Diego Comic-Con, but it sounds like they will not be bringing any new footage this weekend.

The Star Wars The Force Awakens panel will be held Friday, but Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that the presentation will not include any new clips and especially not a new trailer.

Instead, it sounds like we will have to wait until the Fall for a new trailer for the movie. This seems to tell us that August’s D23 convention will not have a new trailer yet either, so it appears they will just be releasing the trailer online as before, which will likely set even more records.

While there won’t be any new trailer or footage, there are still going to be some surprises according to the report, so it will be worth keeping an eye on anyways. It is confirmed that the panel will show a behind-the-scenes look at the movie’s filming process, which is something that I’m personally very stoked to see.

Only a few have been announced for the panel thus far, including director J.J. Abrams, screenwriter, Lawrence Kasdan, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, but there are supposedly going to be a number of actors joining them as well.

Star Wars The Force Awakens will arrive in theaters on December 18.
