Starcraft II fans may be impatiently waiting for the Legacy Of The Void expansion but they still receive periodic patches that improve the game for everyone. The recent Starcraft II patch 2.1.6 helps a lot with stability on various computer loadouts.

Patch 2.1.6 is being distributed throughout various regions as the Official post says on Battle.net, so it may not be live in your region yet. The patch manages to help Starcraft II increase stability on Mac computers as well as those running Windows XP. It also increases the stability of voice chat in the game between party members. Check out the detailed list of the fixes.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where StarCraft II would fail to load on some Windows XP machines.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented in-game voice chat from functioning correctly between party members.
  • Corrected the default graphic settings for several Mac graphic cards

Pretty basic patch with no major game-changers but it will help fans who have had issues with Windows XP, Mac and voice functionality. Hopefully we will get more info on the much anticipated Starcraft II expansion, Legacy Of The Void during Blizzcon early next month. The expansion is said to focus on Zeratul during the campaign and include about twenty missions. One can only hope.
