The farming simulator genre has had quite a resurgence in recent times with new iterations capturing new audiences. Most popular of course has been Stardew Valley, the laid-back harvest simulator has captured a wide array of audiences over the years. Following its many different content updates since it originally released in February 2016. Following the release of multiplayer in 2018, developer ConcernedApe has been working on a much larger addition for quite some time. Creating much more personalization options for creating a new farm or revisiting your 5th-year farm is perfect for this new update. Revealed in a blog post today on Stardewvalley.net are the upcoming changes and additions for the largest content addition Stardew Valley has ever had, now available on PC.

The 1.5 update comes with many new goodies and many quality of life changes that fans have been asking for. The full changelog details an entire new island to explore that adds to the already existing lore of Stardew Valley. Following that, are all of the new item types and variants of cosmetics to collect. The update adds something new to almost every corner of Stardew Valley which makes the update very lucrative to veterans and newcomers alike. For instance, the added beach farm type is sure to give new farms the much-needed fishing bonus for those inclined to go down that route. Allowing for the increase of rewards from mines and extra mod support day one is a huge plus for those looking to jump into a fresh experience or follow up with the mods they were already using. Being able to have the essential wiki mods and even community favorite tractor mod shows such great support and love for the dedicated fans working to make Stardew Valley even more unique than before. The update is now available on the PC release with the title currently on sale for only $10 on Steam.
