Starfinder is Paizo’s take on a sci-fi RPG and it’s even more fitting that three more episodes are playable through Alexa. The newest episodes for the interactive audio adventure released August 4 and is a great way to spend a few hours if you don’t have time to sit down and play with actual dice.

The first three episodes based on the Dead Suns Adventure Path are available to play on any Alexa device. It allows players to choose a character and traverse through a science-fantasy world making decisions to advance the story. Think of it like a make your own adventure book but without the book. The game features voice acting from 13 actors with Nathan Fillion and Laura Bailey being two of the larger names attached to the project, but the rest of the cast is just as amazing.

The following is the description for the adventure game:

Starfinder’s script surpasses well over 745 pages and took a combined 125 hours of studio time to record all of the possible choices. The result equals up to 13 hours of gameplay, but you can pause and resume the gameplay whenever you so choose. Once you reach a certain milestone, the game autosaves so you can pick up where you left off without having to start over.

The pilot episode is free to play while the three released episodes will cost $1.99 or get the full season for $9.99.

Alexa’s Starfinder episodes each play out like an audiobook and it feels great to play. The voice acting is exceptional, making each character feel real. The choices don’t feel rushed or forced upon you. There were several times I said specific prompts and the game understood. The ambiance is enhanced with the sounds of dripping liquids, laser bolts, and other background noises that make everything come to life.
