Starz has officially announced the renewal of P-Valley, a hit drama series featuring a Mississippi-based strip club, for season 3. P-Valley creator Katori Hall announced the show’s renewal on Twitter earlier today, sending out heartfelt messages of thanks to all of the show’s fans for making the renewal possible.

First premiering on Starz in July 2020, P-Valley stars Nicco Annan as Uncle Clifford Sayles, the owner of The Pynk, a strip club based in Chucalissa, Mississippi. The series follows Sayles and The Pynk’s staff members – including Mercedes Woodbine (Brandee Evans), Keshawn Harris/Miss Mississippi (Shannon Thorton), Big L (Morocco Omari), Diamond (Tyler Lepley), and an assorted collection of dancers, DJs, bouncers, and seamstresses – as they face the day-to-day challenges of owning a business and navigating their own lives while they’re at it. Deadline describes The Pynk as “little-strip-club-that-could [with] big characters who come through its doors – the hopeful, the lost, the broken, the ballers, the beautiful and the damned.”

Season 2 of P-Valley, which premiered on Starz in June 2022, follows The Pynk and its staff through the COVID-19 pandemic and the struggles of running a strip club in times of social distancing. On top of the pandemic, a mayoral election, and an increase in police violence, The Pynk also has to handle an influx of new staff members like bartender Big Bone (Miracle Watts), dancer Whisper (Psalms Salazar), and seamstress Nineveh (Toni Bryce). The season also featured singer/rapper Megan Thee Stallion and television personality Joseline Hernandez as themselves.
