The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been making a gaming resurgence as of late. With the beat-em-up genre seeing a resurgence in popularity, it’s only natural for the TMNT franchise to see a new entry. As such, the new game in the beat ’em up genre, TMNT: Shredders Revenge, releases later this year. Yet, sneakily revealed at the latest PlayStation State of Play were the next TMNT games. Yet, the new title is a remake of 13 classic TMNT games. Ranging from all the eras of TMNT games, this collection brings the best ones all in one place. Titled TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection, the compilation of turtle games will release later this year.

What Does TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection’s Trailer Promise Fans?

TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection will bring the best of the franchise in one game. Despite not having a release date, it can be assumed that it would release before the upcoming TMNT: Shredders Revenge. Featuring great 4 player action games like the TMNT arcade game and Turtles in Time, there’s quite a lot of action to enjoy. Even going so far back to include the original Game Boy games, this collection is including a lot of history. Even so much to bring the NES TMNT games to a new platform, this collection goes above and beyond. Yet while the trailer is great at showing the games, there are very few extras. Boasting saving and rewind features, there’s little else offered. Yet, most collections of classic games bring some cosmetic extras to the experience. Despite the multiplayer inclusion of these games, there’s surely more to be seen from this 13 game compilation. Despite this, no set release date does also makes some fans uneasy. Yet, the initial reveal of 13 titles is strong and surely will get some more information soon.
