Marvel fans were overjoyed to hear that Marvel’s Spider-Man is coming to PC as it’s one of the best superhero games currently available. However, if you pre-ordered Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on Steam, you either need a refund or you have to pay more than that. Steam users in seven countries receive emails from Valve asking them to cancel and renew their preorders for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Preorder Price Was Incorrect on Steam

The PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered will launch on August 12th. Since the Spider-Man announcement, pre-orders for the game have dominated the Steam top sellers list. However, according to Playstation and Steam, Spider-Man Steam pre-orders were overcharged with incorrect pricing. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered price was wrong in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Israel, Norway, and Poland.

Steam users were understandably outraged when the original pre-order price was announced, and it turns out they had a reason. Repurchasing the game at a discounted price will save customers decent money (around $12/£10 in the affected countries). You can follow the instructions below if you pre-purchased the game and are from any of these markets to ensure you get the properly discounted price – of course, if you want to.

  • Cancel your current preorder of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PC to receive a full refund
  • Pre-purchase Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered again to receive the corrected lower price point before August 12th to receive early unlock bonuses.

If you are outside those countries and are the Spider-Man pre-ordered, you don’t need to do anything. Users in those regions were the only ones affected by the mistakenly high prices, so if you’re looking for an opportunity to save some money, please try again later.

The game’s visuals were improved with this remastered version. Marvel’s Spider-Man will be released on August 12th, so you can get it from Epic Games or Steam.
