Here we are yet again with another edition of our Steam free weekend coverage. Unfortunately, we missed last weekend due to a lack of offers available. The weekend before that though brought up a lot of cool offers that were worth trying out. This weekend looks to get back into the swing of things, with a ton of free offers for you. One honorable mention we’d like to make (even if not on Steam) is Grand Theft Auto V on the Epic Games Store. It’s an offer you can’t really pass up. That game goes down as one of my favorite all-time games, so I can say without uncertainty it’s worth your time. Anyways though, onto Steam’s free offers!

Starting we have The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Video Game. Coming from the teams at Warner Bros. and Traveller’s Tales, become the ninja you always wanted to be. Play as any of your favorite ninja characters from the LEGO NINJAGO brand and defend your land from the evil Lord Garmadon. He’s sent his shark army upon your lands, and it’s up to you to use your ninja skills to put a stop to him. For kids, this is almost a necessity to have in your library. They’ll have an absolute blast with it, and maybe you will too. It depends on your interests of course. This title is available free on Steam, PS4, and Xbox One, so anyone else can get in on the fun. The game is free to keep until May 21st at 11:59 PM.

Following that is Showdown Bandit, a charming little indie horror game from Kindly Beast. For years, kids have turned on their TVs to watch Showdown Bandit. It’s colorful cast really appealed to them, but one day the show was put a stop to. Now as the Showdown Bandit, you’ll have to go through the sets years later and battle different creatures in this top-down horror shooter. This one is available for free all the way till June 1st on Steam, so pick it up before then to keep playing forever.

And last but not least for our free to keep offers is a bit of a different one. Currently free to keep through Humble Bundle is Aegis Defenders, a mix of action platforming and tower defense to create a unique experience. Developed by GUTS Department, Aegis Defenders has you put into a dark age for humanity. Much of what you had is lost now, but remnants of a great civilization still exist. With it, brings new powers that an Empire has used against the world. The only thing that can save you is a special weapon known as the Aegis, and it’s your goal to find it. This game may be free on Humble and not Steam, but it gives you a Steam code so I thought it was worth mentioning anyway.

Now onto our temporarily free promotions. Starting is Stellaris, a 4X strategy game from infamous publisher Paradox Interactive. Take part as one of many races in this sprawling universe. You’ll forge galactic empires, start wars with other races, and grow your influence as you fight for power. Watch your back though, as your other allies are looking to do exactly what you are. Stellaris is considered one of the best 4X strategy games out there, so be sure to jump in on Steam and give it a try. You have until Monday morning to give this one a go, but you can buy it at 75% off if you really enjoy it.

Next up is the infamous Fallout 76 from Bethesda. This game may have started out with some mass controversy and critique, but it’s managed to bounce back. Especially with the latest Wastelanders update, which brought in NPCs to the game. Fallout 76 has you awaking in Vault 76, with nothing but your clothes and a few basic supplies. You must venture out into West Virginia and collect supplies in order to build your reputation in the world. You’ll speak to different characters, fight with hostile players, and can even set off nukes. There’s lots to do in the game, and it’ll be fun for those who play. You have until Monday to give this a go on Steam, and it’s currently 25% off.

And finally, we have Conan Exiles from the team at Funcom. In this multiplayer survival game, you’ll survive in a vast open-world with lots to do. It’s set in the age of Conan the Barbarian, so you’ll battle others in mounted combat and build your kingdom in order to rule over the world. Watch your back though, as some may not be so fond of your rule. This is a lesser-known but still very fun title that should give survival fans something to enjoy. You have until Monday morning for this as well, so be sure to jump in and let us know how it goes.

And that’s everything you can get for free on Steam this weekend! If there’s anything that you try and enjoy, be sure to let us know. Otherwise, stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
