Welcome back yet again for another week of free Steam games. We hope you’ve had a good and safe week, staying home and stopping the spread of the pandemic. Hopefully, we can get back out there living our normal lives again soon. Regardless, last week had a good set of free Steam games to try or keep and we hope you took advantage! This week looks to hit us with five games to give a go at for free, which should keep you busy for the weekend. I won’t delay any longer though, here’s everything free this weekend on Steam:
3030 Deathwar Redux – A Space Odyssey is an adventure space sim from developer Bird In Sky. As space pilot John Falcon, get back on your feet in a huge open world sprawling with love and passion. Inspired by some of the earlier space works like Star Wars, you’ll explore star systems, mine, and hunt pirates in top-down combat. When the space battles are over, you’ll switch into Adventure mode and explore different areas like derelict ships for rewards. It looks like a great exploration game for anyone that’s a fan of that. You can try it for free on Steam for the next few days and can pick it up for 50% off if you enjoy it!
Squad is a tactical first-person shooter from Offworld Industries. As the name implies, you play as part of a squad taking on a hostile force in intense combat. There are several classes for you to play as, allowing you to play in your playstyle. Overall though, teamwork with your squad will be the key to your success. Having a 90% recommendation score on Steam, this is a game you won’t want to miss. You have until Sunday to give Squad a try, and the game is 35% off if you happen to enjoy it.
Mafia III is an open-world action game from the team at Hanger 13. It’s 1968, and your name is Lincoln Clay. You recently returned from the Vietnam War and are trying to rekindle relationships with your family, but not all is good in New Bordeaux. This game takes the style of other open-world action games like L.A. Noire and GTA V and seems like a lot of fun. You have until the middle of next week to try out Mafia III on Steam, and can get it for 75% off during the free period. You’ll keep your progress too, so there’s nothing to lose.
F1 2019 is a racing simulator from Codemasters. As the most ambitious game from Codemasters yet, experience Formula One races in some high intensity, realistic action. The game features all the classic teams from Formula One along with introducing racers from F2. With some high graphical fidelity, tight controls, and realistic racing, this is a game any racing fan will want to give a try. The game is free till the end of this weekend and is sporting a 70% off sale on Steam for those who find themselves enjoying it.
The other game available for free is Secret Neighbor from publisher tinyBuild. I’ll let fellow writer Rowan tell you about that deal, along with the entire tinyBuild sale going on right now!
