Trick or treat! The Steam Halloween Sale 2020 officially starts today and runs until November 2. Obviously, horror games are getting the spotlight throughout these four days. Resident Evil Remake 2 is 60% off, Dying Light is 66% off, and Alien: Isolation is 75% off. Several indie horror games such as Pacify, Carrion, Kill It With Fire (which we highly recommend), and Bigfoot are also discounted up to 30%. Meanwhile, other titles like Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (75% off) and Dead by Daylight (60% off) are running a free weekend to boot.

You don’t have to dig deep if horror games aren’t your thing though. A bunch of “normal” titles like Grim Dawn, Monster Hunter World, Hades, Control: Ultimate Edition, and their DLCs are getting discounted as well. Still, not all games are at their cheapest in this Steam Halloween Sale. Grim Dawn‘s Ashes of Malmouth expansion DLC, for example. It could get lower to around $10 instead of $13.49 right now, at least according to SteamDB. You might want to wait until the Steam Winter Sale later in December if you really need to save or are not in a hurry to play them.

In addition to the deals, the Steam Halloween Sale is featuring several Halloween-themed in-game events on the sales page. That way you won’t miss out on fun events in your favorite horror games to fill your Halloween online with friends or even strangers. It also added two new profile decoration items, the Steam Halloween Avatar Frame and Steam Halloween Profile Background, to make your profile look spookier. Both are sold for 2,000 Steam Points.
