Publisher 5pb has announced today that the first-print copies of Steins;Gate Elite will include some very interesting extras for Nintendo Switch and PS4, with the hybrid console coming with an 8-bit ‘demake’ which portrays the game as a 1980s adventure, and Sony’s home console owners getting an HD version of Steins;Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogram, an expansion of the original game featuring additional scenarios based on new timelines, which expand the universe of the game.

The Nintendo Switch extra is called Famicolle ADV Steins;Gate, referencing its visuals inspired on SNES games (Famicom in Japan). It will allow players to go through the main story in 8-bit graphics, simulating other classic visual novels from that time. This version even has its own official website and you can check out the trailer below.

The PS4 bonus, Steins;Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogram HD, is a remaster released in 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360 in Japan. It features 11 additional stories based on different timelines set during and after the original game’s story, with some of them following a more comical and irreverent approach. Those who buy Steins;Gate Elite on PSVita will also get a code for Linear Bounded Phenogram HD, but that can only be played on a PS4.

Steins;Gate Elite launches for PS4, PSVita, and Nintendo Switch on March 15 in Japan.
