You can tell the worthiness of a man by his attitude towards Brigador. If he has played it, then truly he is a man of both style and substance, worthy of your friendship. If he hasn’t, then it is best to move on and leave him to his own devices. Hopefully, you will be able to broaden your pool of friends in the future, because the game is getting a followup in the form of Brigador Killers.

The original Brigador was all about living the life of a sneaky rogue mech pilot who had turned their back on a life of law and order in search of a payday. The isometric roguelite had us stamping around maps destroying everything we could find. The visuals and sounds all oozed 80s cool, and the game is packed with flavor-text that is some of the best in the business.

When it launched, it didn’t set the world on fire, but Stellar Jockeys believed in their vision, and with some extra work the game now sits at a well deserved Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam. We don’t know a huge amount about Brigador Killers just yet, but the obvious clue is that in the next game we will be hunting down our former selves. I’ve always wanted to give myself a good thrashing, so this should end up being a whole lot of fun.

Excellent news for fans of the superb original soundtrack from Makeup And Vanity Set is that he will once again be returning to compose the music for Brigador Killers. If you are a fan of Synthwave then that news alone is almost as exciting as the thought of the game itself. I’ve included the trailer for the first Brigador above if you want to see the types of sights and sounds that should be in store for us in Brigador Killers.
