Stephanie McMahon takes over the WWE as Vince McMahon steps down. This is in the wake of some pretty heavy accusations against the business icon. Though drama is nothing new to the McMahons, these are pretty serious. It isn’t like Vince willingly stepped down and handed the reins to his daughter. He was caught in a catch-22 and had to step down before the accusations affected his I.P. But rest assured, the show will very much go on.
As some may know, Vince has been accused of an affair. That isn’t the worst part. The part that is drawing attention is how he paid her hush money. Roughly three million dollars over five years, money the feds are now looking into. If he paid out of pocket, no harm, no foul. But if Vince McMahon pulled from some WWE money, it will not go well for him.

So, as a result, the loved (and hated) Stephanie McMahon is taking over the circus while her father is investigated on all fronts. Vince McMahon issued a press release about the fiasco:
Simple terms for the non-legal eagles? He will work with them and do everything he can to prove his innocence. In the meantime, until then, Stephanie will be the ringleader. Rumor is that he is still expected to appear on Smackdown Friday evening.
