It may have just been published, but the latest novel by Stephen King, Fairy Tale, will be adapted by Paul Greengrass (Bourne trilogy), as reported by Deadline. The filmmaker will produce and direct the project.

Sold for $1, Stephen King is a fan of the director, which led to the deal for Fairy Tale. In the typical fashion of the author, his latest is a hit with its positive reviews and being a number one bestseller. The filmmaker will have his take on the story that follows a teenage boy who gains a mysterious key into a world where good and evil are at war. His journey takes him on a dangerous path that threatens this other world and ours.

No studios or networks were named in the bidding. As the report stated and due to the high demand for adaptions of the author’s work is skyrocketing, plenty of companies are looking to bid to have the film under its branding. Shopping off the adaption will begin shortly.
