Destry Spielberg’s directorial debut is scheduled for this year. As a teenager, Destry had her eyes on horses, and her father believed that she would pursue a career in equestrian sports.

Once she surrendered her hobby, she became involved with a new one that metamorphosed into her art. According to the iconic director, his daughter had always shown interest in movies, and he hoped she would inherit his passion.

Steven Spielberg’s daughter will be working closely with seasoned hands to debut her directorial film Four Assassins (And A Funeral). While on the Smartless podcast, Steven confessed to being excited about the news. The Fabelmans director praised his daughter’s previous work, adding that it secured a shot for her in the new film. The 76-year-old added:

During the holiday, Deadline reported that Destry Spielberg’s directorial debut film’s script is a mishmash of the murder mystery Knives Out, The Kingsman franchise, and the HBO series Succession.

While Steven is in awe of his mini-me, she has gone to great lengths to defend her credibility as a few critics believe she is only privileged. Following her 2021’s Let Me Go The Right Way, she slammed trolls in a since-deleted-tweet, claiming that she worked for her crown.

Destry maintained that she and her teammates put in hard work for the brilliant piece. In the end, she acknowledged being born with privilege but blurted that no one deserves to be left out. Whether having a famous father opened more doors for her, Steven Spielberg’s daughter has proven that she is ready to earn her stripes.

According to her, she went through school and later auditions to appear in films but did not taste the success she yearned for. So she decided to make a movie, and so far, it has paid off.
