As with previous issues from the Dark Horse miniseries, there will be multiple variant covers. Comicbook.com has the exclusive first look.

What Happens in Stranger Things: Kamchatka #3?

Stranger Things: Kamchatka #3 is written by Michael Moreci with pencils by Todor Hristov and colors by Dan Jackson. In the opening pages, fans see a flashback of Agent Semenov when he was still with the KGB. He watches as a fellow comrade tortures an American prisoner. When Semenov puts a stop to the torture, there are questions about his loyalty. It’s a retelling of the hardest moments for Semenov as he had to leave his wife and daughter in order to keep them safe. A sacrifice that Hristov’s pencils clearly show he still regrets.

Now Semenov helps two children evade KGB capture while also making amends for what he did to his family. Is it safe to return? Will he become the Demogorgon’s next target? Furthermore, does he deserve punishment for what he did? All questions that plague his mind.

What is Stranger Things: Kamchatka About?

A Russian scientist, Dr. Boris Orlov, is tasked by his government to weaponize a monster stolen from America. The Demogorgon. The same Demogorgon that viewers saw at the end of Stranger Things season 3. However, Dr. Orlov is not a fan of his task. So, he entrusts a mysterious device to his teenage children before he is taken away by force. The miniseries follows Anna and Leonid Orlov as they traverse across Russia to rescue their father with help from an unlikely ally. Meanwhile, Dr. Orlov is held captive and tortured until he agrees to rebuild the device and help his country with the Demogorgon.

Stranger Things season 4 premieres on Netflix on May 27, 2022.
