A new trailer for season 4 of Stranger Things has finally dropped. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, many shows and films have halted their production. Stranger Things, one of Netflix’s highly anticipated returns, was one of them. Since then, it has been confirmed that shooting has, indeed, commenced. Last year, we were teased with the first trailer revealing the beloved Hopper character, played by David Harbour, who was alive and well as a prisoner, most likely to “The Russians.” This was a surprise to many who believed him dead following the season three finale. The second season 4 trailer has left us with many more questions that need answers.

Mysteries and Answers of the Upside Down

The new trailer has dropped. Season 4 brings just as much excitement and questions as the first. The second teaser reveals Matthew Modine’s Dr. Brenner, entering a room with children who refer to him as “Papa”. They too are sporting the medical gown that we first saw Eleven attired within season 1. What is more, is that Brenner mentions a surprise for the children and it cuts to Eleven back in her room/cell. Is it a memory? Is it a dream? Has Brenner come back and now Eleven is in his clutches? We will simply have to wait and see. In the meantime, we can only analyze. The only thing we know for certain is who is returning and who the new cast members are. One major piece of information to be gathered, and hopefully finally answered is, who are the other numbers? Will we find out whatever happened to eight (Kali) and her gang? And of course, how did Hopper survive?

Hopper has a “Gandalf Resurrection” in Season 4

The Duffer brothers and David Harbour revealed that Harbour is not going to be quite the same anymore. David Harbour mentioned in an interview with Total Film that Hopp would have a “Gandalf resurrection“. He has known from the beginning what Hopper’s destiny was to be since the beginning and the reveals, according to Harbour and the cast, are big. The best thing to come out of the production freeze? According to the show’s producer, Shawn Levy, this is the first time that the Duffer brothers have finished a script before a season being completed. In fact, Levy and many of the cast members have stated that it’s the best script to date. Now we just have to brace ourselves for the shooting to commence on Stranger Things season 4, and at some point…finish. Due to precautions and the slowing down of production due to said precautions, a 2021 release is likely.
