The first full Stranger Things season 4 trailer has been officially released by Netflix, finally giving a glimpse into what the new season will offer. Stranger Things season 4 is set to be released in two volumes. The first will air on May 27th, while the second will come on July 1st.

Stranger Things Season 4 Trailer and Details

The new Stranger Things season 4 trailer, which is over 3 minutes long, primarily focuses on what will be the hit Netflix series’ new main antagonist. This mysterious blue monster, which appears to be a human-Demogorgon hybrid capable of speech, seems to desire to bring the war to the town of Hawkins and the world. The only one who can stop him is Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, if she can find a way to get her powers back.

Stranger Things season 4 will see the return of most of the cast, including David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, Maya Hawke as Robin, Joe Keery as Steve, and Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler.

The trailer also shows Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Max (Sadie Sink) entering high school, while Eleven and Will (Noah Schnapp) are in California. Also revealed to be alive, Hopper is imprisoned in Russia and forced to fight a Demogorgon with a ragtag group of soldiers. Season 3 ended with the fate of police chief Jim Hopper unclear, presumably dead, and the Byers family moving away from the town.

Filming for the fourth season initially began in early 2020, but the production faced numerous delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Netflix has released various teasers for the fourth season, the first of which came out on February 14th, 2020. Subsequent trailers have shown Eleven locked up in a mental ward, the characters investigating an abandoned mansion, and the Byers family adjusting to life in California.
