After a long wait, the season four Stranger Things trailer dropped today. The trailer was released for Netflix’s TUDUM fan event. This is a live stream on Netflix’s Youtube channel which promises to reveal anticipated news such as the new trailer. The Witcher, Cowboy Bebop and Cobra Kai are other titles that the channel is holding the fan event for.

Fans have waited for years for information on the new season of Stranger Things and should be excited about this trailer. Season three dropped in July of 2019 to high praise and a devastating cliffhanger. At the end of last season, the teens found that Russians were attempting to open a portal back to the Upsidedown. In an attempt to close it, Hopper appeared to be obliterated. This caused The Byers family to adopt Eleven and concluded with them leaving the state.

A New Mystery

Stranger Things is keeping things close to the chest, but viewers can see the return of fan favorites and a new mystery to be solved. The trailer opens by showing an idyllic family experiencing the American dream. However, in the present day, the house seems to be abandoned.

Dustin, Max, and Lucas enter the house, seemingly to investigate the new mystery at the abode. Fans of Stranger Things will also delight that Steve Harrington is helping the kids once again. Steve first appeared in the first season as Nancy’s problematic boyfriend. He was introduced to be a foil against moody Jonathan Byers. Steve quickly became a fan favorite and iconic to the show. He finished season three while helping his new friend Robin as they encountered the Russian plot in the mall that they all worked at.

This trailer does not reveal much more than the four characters entering the house, but it heavily implies that more information is to come. David Harbour has been sighted onset and is active on social media. There is no question that Hopper will be returning along with the rest of the kids. This trailer is an exciting precursor for what is to come. The new season of Stranger Things will be premiering in 2022 on Netflix.
