Streamer Nickmercs has spent almost a year converting his basement into the ultimate gaming room.
Nick ‘Nickmercs’ Kolcheff is a Twitch streamer and professional Fortnite player for FaZe Clan. He has been playing games professionally for years, starting with Gears of War. He found fame with Fortnite and now has almost two million subscribers on YouTube and over three million followers on Twitch.
Before the significant upgrade, Nickmercs said that he was playing on a $2o desk he got from Home Depot, his monitor was held up by a bucket, and he was sitting on a chair he got from a garage sale. Now, the streamer has a top of the range set-up. Automatic doors lead into the fully converted basement with soundproofed walls, a fireplace, and an indoor waterfall.
The room boasts four gaming stations, each equipped with a PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and top of the range PC. Each station also has a Logitech keyboard and mouse, Scuff controllers, and Astro headsets. This corner is the dream setup for having friends round for a gaming session. He has also installed a couch and television for his fiancée to watch his live streams from. The TV is connected directly to his stream, so there is no delay.
For his own corner where he streams from, Nick has four monitors attached to a monster computer. His custom made PC runs Fortnite at up to 1,000 frames per second as well as run his Twitch live stream.
