Sony’s Evo 2022 concluded with a bang, and keeping its promise, Capcom showed off two new characters for the upcoming Street Fighter 6, the psychotic Juri and the funky ninja Kimberly.

Capcom confirmed a few months ago that they would be going silent for a little while until they’re ready to share more information. And the end of Evo 2022 was the perfect place to do so.

Kimberly – A Ninja From The ’80s

Kimberly is a stylish ninja, armed to the teeth with colorful spray cans and ’80s nostalgia. The self-proclaimed student of the ever-popular Guy from older Street Fighter and Final Fight games. Guy is the 38th master of the ninja art of Bushinryu; he became the master after defeating Zeku, the previous master, who was also playable in Street Fighter V.

Kimberly will be bringing her own flare to both Street Fighter 6 and the art of Bushinryu; with colorful paints and all the familiar moves from the past ninja masters, she might be a force to be reckoned with.

Juri’s Return in Street Fighter 6

Initially introduced in Street Fighter 4, she became an instant fan favorite. She made a return in Street Fighter 5 but was not as popular due to lousy balancing. Now coming back to the third game in a row, Juri looks crazier than ever before.

Not much has changed in terms of her moveset in Street Fighter 6 when compared to her previous iteration. But she has gotten her old Street Fighter 4 design back, and it looks jaw-dropping in the RE Engine.

Both characters look like they will fit very well in Street Fighter 6. Juri will probably play mostly like how she did in the last game. But Kimberly seems to have a lot of new possibilities on offer.

This means all the characters confirmed so far are Ryu, Chun-Li, Jamie, Luke, Guile, Kimberly, and Juri. It is unknown how big the launch roster for the game will be, but it should be somewhere around 16-20.

Capcom said they have much more to show further into the year; the next event where Street Fighter 6 will be shown should be the Tokyo Game Show.
