Another week, another announcement from Epic Games about its long-running series of free giveaways. From Thursday, October 14, the Epic Games Store free games are Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse and the Paladins Epic Pack. Not the most thrilling week we’ve seen – one of the games was released back – continuing a recent lackluster run of free games. Nevertheless, they are free, so we can’t complain too much.

Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse

Developed by Wideload Games and re-released for modern consoles earlier this year, Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse is a third-person action game that casts you as a zombie roaming the city of Punchbowl in search of humans to devour. Middling reviews from back in 2005 suggest Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse isn’t a must-play but should please those on the hunt for some lighthearted zombie fun. Here’s the brief marketing blurb accompanying the Epic Games Store listing.

Be the Zombie. Kick A** and Take Brains. It’s 1959, and the city of Punchbowl, PA, is a beacon of progress and ideal living. Show the living that law and order are no match for a dead man on a mission!”

Paladins Epic Pack

Unusually for the Epic Games Store free games, next week’s second giveaway alongside Stubbs the Zombie isn’t a game but a pack. The Paladins Epic Pack, an Epic Games Store exclusive, unlocks four champions in Evil Mojo’s online hero shooter: Androxus, Raum, Tyra, and Ying. Alongside, the pack grants access to four skins to spruce up those champions: Exalted Androxus, Subjugator Raum, Baroness Tyra, and Snapdragon Ying.

PC Building Simulator Free This Week

For this week, the Epic Games Store freebie is PC Building Simulator. The name says it all with this one as you take charge of a small PC repair business, pumping out custom builds and fixing customer issues using real-world branded parts and components.

PC Building Simulator is available for free from today until October 14, at which point you can claim Stubbs the Zombie and the Paladins pack.
