Studio Pierrot launched an official YouTube channel for streaming classic anime titles. However, the channel is only available for a limited time. The announcement came in the form of a video celebration and promotional video featuring many of the studio’s anime. The video also celebrated the Hikaru no Go anime’s 20th anniversary. It was also paired with the first episode of The Wonderful Adventure of Nils being posted on the channel.

In terms of The Wonderful Adventure of Nils, only the first episode will be permanently on YouTube. The others will be removed after two weeks upon their release. The Japanese version of Ghost Stories will also be posted to the channel. However, there will be only three episodes posted. The posting dates for Ghost Stories are July 1st, July 8th, and July 15th, and they will only be in the Japanese Sub (sorry Dub fans!).

The company also revealed that over the coming weeks, select episodes of Osomatsu-kun will also be available starting June 3rd. There will be a total of 12 episodes uploaded every Friday for the rest of June.  The channel will be updated every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6:30 p.m. JST. Lastly, the studio says that they’ll be uploading special videos to the channel that can only be experienced there.

Studio Pierrot is a long-running animation studio established in 1979. They are known for many renowned and popular anime such as Naruto, Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho, Black Clover, Boruto, Tokyo Ghoul, and Great Teacher Onizuka. By the looks of this announcement, though, it doesn’t look like any of these titles will be available on the channel as of yet. There is also no word if any anime films will make it onto the channel as well.

The link for Studio Pierrots’s YouTube Channel can be found here. The official upload delivery schedule can also be found on Famitsu. It is unknown at this time if the YouTube channel will be a permanent fixture for the company or if the whole thing is only for a limited time.
