Submerged: Hidden Depths, the sequel to 2015’s Submerged, officially has a date set for its PC and console release. Uppercut announced today that the sequel would be heading to Steam, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox systems on March 10th, 2022. Previously, the game was released as a Google Stadia exclusive.

Submerged: Hidden Depths takes place in a lost city shrouded in a dark mystery. Players take control of protagonists Miku and Taku. The two each have their own history with the darkness. One wants to use the darkness for good, while the other fears it will tear them apart. The game focuses on exploring the city to uncover the mystery while also taking in its beauty and tranquility.

About Submerged: Hidden Depths

The veteran team at Uppercut emphasized creating a perfect balance between tension and relaxation. That balance gives Submerged: Hidden Depths a quality that draws players in as they explore the open city. The combat-free title encourages players to take their time while taking in the environment. Not only can players uncover the story, but exploring also yields new upgrades for your boat.

Ed Orman, Co-founder of Uppercut Games, had this to say about the upcoming Submerged sequel.

You can find the game on Steam, the Epic Games Store, the PlayStation Store, and the Microsoft Store. Submerged: Hidden Depths will release for these platforms on March 10th.

Our team has grown and learned so much since creating Submerged, and then again when we started Submerged: Hidden Depths, so it’s great to be able to show the difference that learning has made to the game. Our vision stayed true, as has our desire to create that relaxing experience for players, but the quality and depth of our work have soared.
