Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is one of 2022’s most hyped games, and fans have finally got a glimpse at how the game plays in the new gameplay trailer. Check out the trailer below.

The gameplay trailer shows the Suicide Squad attempting to take down the Flash, who has been subject to Brainiac’s mind control. In the first examples of gameplay that have been shown so far, gamers can see how each of the teams fights the various enemies in the game. King Shark is a brawler, taking down enemies with sheer strength and brute force. At one point in the trailer, he even does a Hulk-Esque smash of a massive monster. Deadshot naturally plays like a shooter with a mixture of third and first-person shooter gameplay. Captain Boomerang looks to have a mixture of gunplay and close-quarters combat using his boomerang weapon. It looks a little reminiscent of how Star-Lord plays in Guardians of the Galaxy. Harley-Quinn has a variety of signature abilities like a grappling hook she can swing on, bombs, and, of course, her trusty baseball bat.

Unlike Guardians of the Galaxy, players will be able to manually control every member of the Suicide Squad while playing solo. Suicide Squad will also feature a four-player co-op which will allow players to each control their own anti-hero as they play through the game together.

The Suicide Squad trailer also gives fans a further glimpse at the team together in the game. The characters in the game look a lot more like James Gunn’s interpretation of the team than the first movie’s interpretation. As James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad was thoroughly enjoyed by fans, that’s definitely good news.

For now, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League still only has a “2022” release date. It’s likely that it will be in the second half of the year.
