Suicide Squad seems to be getting a lot more attention these past few years. You had 2016’s Suicide Squad movie which definitely could have been better, and more recently the announcement of The Suicide Squad, James Gunn’s reboot of the 2016 film. We even got to know more about that movie and its cast during DC FanDome today. Also announced though was something teased previously but interesting regardless. Rocksteady, the team behind the Arkham game franchise, announces Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League at the DC FanDome event. It’s coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X in 2022. You can find the cinematic reveal trailer below.

The trailer mainly focuses on four villains and their work in Metropolis, fighting against evil invaders tearing the city apart. Those four villains are Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark. All four are confirmed to be in the game. Things take a turn for the worst though as Superman shows up, appearing to have saved a helicopter pilot before vaporizing him. It’s implied by the title that the rest of the Justice League are hostile as well, spelling some serious trouble for the Suicide Squad.

We don’t get too much from this trailer, but what we do get does look good. That trailer looked beautiful, and some of the character designs and personalities are solid so far. It’s a promising start, especially coming out of Rocksteady. The team also confirmed that the game will take place in the Arkham universe, putting it in line with the studio’s other titles. With the game still far out, chances are we’ll see much more regarding Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in the coming months and years.

For now, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Does Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League look promising to you? What are your thoughts on Rocksteady’s other titles? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
