Casual and arcade video games developer Webfoot and publisher Ziggurat Interactive have announced the release of Super Chopper, their new arcade action helicopter combat game for PC. Super Chopper is currently available on Steam and GOG, and is currently at the 33% off special promotion price of $6.69.

Ziggurat specializes in retro video games, and Super Chopper reflects that in its retro-arcade-styled air combat gameplay. You take command of the Super Chopper, a military attack helicopter that looks to be a mix of multiple real-world attack helicopters, including the renowned AH-64 Apache (USA) and the MI-24 Hind (Russia). As the pilot, you’re tasked with conducting both combat and rescue missions through five campaign scenarios, with a total of 50 missions overall. Mission types include rescuing stranded soldiers, using the chopper’s water canon to quench fires, escorting VIP convoys, and more.

The Super Chopper comes equipped with an array of weapons and gadgets in addition to a water canon. Its combat weapons include a standard machine gun, a rapid-fire machine gun, bombs, and missiles. These are all put to the test along with your piloting skills as you conduct missions over five varying landscapes (desert, plains, jungle, canyon, and mountain). Super Chopper also challenges you with five distinct mission types in arcade-style: combat, escort, fire patrol, rescue, and stealth.

In addition to all those features, Super Chopper also comes with its own level editor, allowing you to create custom missions with a robust editor tool. The level editor lets you build missions in any and all of the five mission types, and with the five environments. It also gives you control over the number and placement of enemies and sets their behavior. Mission objectives, waypoints, and victory conditions are also yours to set.
