Two more classics make their way to the Switch’s online service this month.

Another month brings another two NES games coming to the Switch’s online subscription service. This month, another Mario game and a Kirby game will become available on the Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Switch Online app.

Nintendo recently announced that Super Mario Bros. 2 and Kirby’s Adventure will become playable on the Switch via the console’s online service as of next Wednesday, February 13. To be clear, the Super Mario Bros. 2 coming to the service is the Western Super Mario Bros. 2, which is largely a reskin of the 1987 Famicom game Doki Doki Panic. The Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2 was eventually released in the West as Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, but again, it is the Western Super Mario Bros. 2, not The Lost Levels, that will be coming to the Switch this month.

Super Mario Bros. 2 joins several other Mario games, including Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros., and Super Mario Bros. 3, on the Switch’s NES lineup. Kirby’s Adventure was released late in the NES’s life cycle and was the first Kirby game to be released on a home console. It will be the first Kirby game to become available on the Switch’s NES lineup, which makes sense, since it was the only Kirby game to be released on the NES.
