A journalist on Twitter has shared how well Super Mario Maker 2 and other games on the Nintendo Switch sold this week.

Mario Maker 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the original Wii U Super Mario Maker. Both Mario Maker games allowed players to create their own Mario levels, using assets that existed in the past Mario games.

Super Mario Maker 2 received positive reviews from critics and fans. We particularly loved playing the game.

Fans of the game should be happy to know that the game sold well in the UK, according to Christopher Dring on Twitter. Dring is a writer for GamesIndustry.biz and is known for sharing launch week sales information via Twitter.

In a recent set of tweets, Dring shares that Mario Maker 2 is “Nintendo’s biggest launch in the UK this year (so far).” It beat New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, which was released in January of this year.

Dring also writes that Crash Team Racing is the second best-selling game for the week. F1 2019, a formula racing game, and Judgment, a spin-off of the Yakuza series, are the third and fourth best-selling game for the week.

In a later tweet, Dring will also share that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night sold more in its first week on the Nintendo Switch than on the PS4 and Xbox One. It jumped eight places this week than it did the week it was released.

Super Mario Maker 2 is Nintendo’s biggest launch in the UK this year (so far). It comfortably beat New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe. Straight in at No.1. Crash Team Racing down to No.2 ahead of F1 (no.3) and Judgment (no.4)
